Senior Pastor & Foundation of FCM - Chris Peña
Chris Peña is a native Texan and the Pastor of Foundation Christian Ministries.  Growing up Pastor Chris was told many times that he would grow up to be a pastor, however, he adamantly declined the call toward ministry.

In the summer of 1999, the Lord changed Pastor Chris' heart and he recognized God's calling on his life.  After much prayer and seeking from God, Pastor Chris felt conviction in 2000 that he was to start a work in the Bastrop area.

Over the next few years, Foundation Christian Ministries would become one of the fastest growing churches in the state.  Under Pastor Chris' leadership, Foundation was able to establish herself as a church that would reach beyond ethnic, social-economical and denominational barriers to reach the World for Christ.

Pastor Chris is a passionate speaker who delivers God's message with boldness and conviction.  He has the ability to bring God's Word to life and make you live the Good News Story.  With a contagious zeal for being a Christ-Like Disciple Maker, just being around Pastor Chris will move you closer to living a life completely sold out to Christ.

Co-Pastor & Co-Founder of FCM - Melissa Peña

By way of a divine healing, Melissa Peña grew up with the understanding and knowledge that God had a calling on her life. Growing up, she had a passion for worship and served in worship ministry.  When she and Pastor Chris were married, she served as a Minister of Worship for several years.

Melissa has endeavored to see Foundation grow to her maximum potential.  She recognizes that potential comes from God and each person who makes up the Body of Christ.  She is an integral part of FCM and works alongside Pastor Chris to set the vision and lead Foundation and its leadership.

Melissa also has a passion for women and the struggles they face today.  Since she is a working mother of three, she understands the demands women face.  She also believes that women have the ability to be Christ-Like Disciple Makers, which is a message she shares passionately.
 

Youth and Children’s Pastors- Brian and Erika Hogwood
Brian and Erika have been in ministry for six and a half years.  They started out in Wesley Chapel, Florida at Victorious Life Church. There, they led a youth group and grew it to 350+ students in weekly attendance in two years. They also led a group of 25 adults youth leaders.  From Wesley Chapel, they went to Detroit, Michigan.  There, they were Youth Pastors at Revival Outreach Center for two years.  From Detroit, Brian and Erika landed HERE at Foundation Christian Ministries.
 
Today Brian and Erika serve as our Youth and Children’s Pastors.  They have grown the RUSH Student Ministry from 26 students, just one and a half years ago, to over 100 in weekly attendance. Their goal is to reach 1,000 students in RUSH.
 
The 3D Kids’ Ministry is off and running strong. Their goal is to keep pushing hard to show the kids of this ministry that JESUS LOVES THEM.

Brian and Erika have been married for eight and a half years and have 3 amazing children, Hunter, their soon-to-be preacher who is 8, Genesis, their little princess who is 5, and Travis, their little musician who is 4.
